I've been umming and ahhing as to whether or not I should post this.
The bottom photo disgusts me, I let my pony turn into a great big tub of lard and just couldn't see it. It took until he had serious laminitis.
However the change in him makes me feel incredibly proud of what I have achieved with him and the truly incredible difference both physically and mentally in him.
There is nearly three years between these two photos. The first two years was just soaking hay and restricting feed and turnout. The past year especially has contributed to the way he is now.
The horrible thick crest, the gutter down his back and the fat pads have all gone. I do still feel he could tone up even more but this is the best he has ever been and it's onwards and upwards from here.
People seem to be getting a serious bashing over weight at the moment but with blood sweat and tears this is what you can achieve...
