Throw some cool horse names at me

Merl's show name is 'The Widow Maker' :D

Mine are all blessed with boring names, Lady Locket (Lou), Fudge (Bean) and Merlin.

I once had a shetland called Chipolata and my old pony was called True Blue.

My project horses (Bailey) registered name was 'So She Said'.

When I first had Lady I wanted to change her name to Fantasy, Flicka or White Hot (that was before someone convinced me it was bad luck to change horses names).

I like old fashioned human names for animals - the sort that don't get used any more - although these days I'm not so sure! My dog is Mabel and my horse is Archie - there were no little boys called Archie when I named him, but now there are hundreds!

So....Ralph (despite memories of reading Forever as a 12 year old!) or Bert for a boy (although Bernard mentioned earlier is also genius so I might change my mind!) and Mavis or Maud for a girl.
I love Trevor too, but it's my friend's nickname (long story!) so I don't think she'd be too impressed!

@feisty_filly He thought I was very strange when I accosted him one day, with my nieces stuffed 'Angus' horse from brave. Until I explained why I was so excited :D

My boys proper name is baccarat (a card game) so I like the idea of other casino related names (or even 'casino') since they're all such a bloody gamble when you buy them.

I have a Pete - I hated it at first (the name that is, obviously not him!), but I think it suits him now. I highly suspect he was callled Pete as the phrase 'Oh, for Pete's sake ...!' was often used.

Two of his field friends are Dave and Jim ... They sound like 3 old men! :D

Shudders.

I have a Dakota, the name is forever spoiled for me by that horse :(

Also have Lexus, Tacoma ... bit of a vehicle theme going on with those names, Tacoma and Dakota were named after trucks! Lexus is a bit more upmarket ;)
