Thrown shoe.........Would you or wouldnt you?

My mare threw a front shoe today after a mad half hour in the field and pulled it off with her back foot.

Will it still be ok to ride her?

she is only being ridden for half hour just now any ways to build her up.

Depends what your doing, lightly & in a field/school then yeah is fine

Some horses don’t like not having a shoe on. My mare goes lame but my gelding doesn’t even notice.

You should be fine in a school but I would let your horse tell you if she feel comfortable or not.

thats what i was thinking she didnt like being on the stones but the field is soft.

Also luckily the farrier was booked for the 14th anyways so thank god and i also managed to go and see where she slid and i got her shoe.

I personally wouldn't not with a front shoe as the horse will not be balanced especially if you are schooling.

Its not worth the risk IMHO the 14th is not long to wait.

nah its not long at all. I didnt think it would be right as she is very much unbalanced as it is due to not been ridden for 2 months,but just wanted to see what every one's view was.
