had farrier this morning and he said one of the colts has a small bit of thrush in a front foot.
he has advised me to soak it in salt water and if no improvement to get some peroxide.
i think now i know how he has got this,i have an open fronted stable that i usually keep a big bed in but lately, with all the rain it has got a bit soggy so am digging out and going to put a few inches of concrete down for a better floor.dan still goes in there sometimes so i`m going to shut it up till job done.
never had this before so any advice is welcome.
on the plus side, both boys were 100% for farrier(h`s 2nd farrier visit and dan`s 1st)
