I was just wondering whether anyone had been successful with this for the treatment of sarcoids?

Grace has one above her eye, which is awaiting treatment by Leahurst... I am actually awaiting the cream as we speak

But my friend owns a company which sells garlic and supplements etc etc and she has suggested trying Thuja cream and also the tablets. She is bringing some round for me tonight

Any experiences?

I don't suppose you have any pic's of grace's sarcoid? My mare has one and the vets don't want to do anything about it..basically because it's too much hassle.Would be interested to see if they're the same "type" of sarcoid.
I tried thuja tablets but I believe feeding them with mint makes them ineffective so you might want to watch that.
I'm thinking of trying the cream on her eye but don't know the best place to buy online from..
good luck!

I've been using Thuja cream on my mares 2 sarcoids since just before Xmas, one went completely about a month ago and the bigger one has gotten flatter and looks to be going away too. I only apply the cream once every 2/3 days.

I was discussing this with my trainer a last week and she was telling me that there are links to sarcoids being stress related so maybe this is all connected to Graces' problems over the last few months? As she gets better they may go anyway...

Ring Hilton Herbs and they will advise on tablet strength. I would hesitate before applying anything non-vet prescribed, but the homeopathic pillules will be fine and won't do any harm. I think they sorted my lad's out (no cream used at all).

I used homeopathic thuja tabs on a mare with a sarcoid on the inside of her elbow. I gave it in a very unscientific way. I *think* I gave her two or three pills twice a day for about a week or so but I missed a few goes. Then the next thing it had fallen off so that was a success. I should have given some more as the skin was a little scaly still but looked to have worked a treat. They won't do any harm anyway!

My horse had a sarcoid under his bridle and the vets applied Liverpool cream 4 times with a few days in between each application. Worked a treat and the sarcoid has completely gone. But he also then developed a suspicious area under his mane that we thought looked like a flat sarcoid. This time, I bought Thuja cream 30c potency from www.paws4health.com - decent sized tub that I've hardly used - and that worked brilliantly too! Sarcoid now gone. My vets told me that the advice they have been given is if they aren't sure if it's a sarcoid or not, treat it as if it is. But some other vets seem to say the opposite! I honestly don't think you can make the situation worse with Thuja but take care because you can with some over the counter applications. If it is a genuine sarcoid, be wary of putting anything on it that very actively encourages skin growth or repair as, put simply, cancers are cells whose growth mechanism has gone out of control.

Hi, I am new to this board, but I have the vet coming to look at my Arab geldings sarcoids on Monday. They have increased in size over the winter slightly and one of the got knocked in the field last week and has gone from being nodular to fibrous. I am quite confident that they will come up with a course of treatment as I want rid before too many flies arrive! My husband has just bought me a trailer and I want rid of the sarcoids quickly! Does anyone know the quickest and safest way?

Thuja has worked on 3 horses that I know of, you can get drops that you put in the feed as well as the little tablets, 200 strength is what they used, and as it works from the inside it does not aggravate the sarcoid.

Thanks everyone... she had the tablets yesterday, and I have taken some photos so will do a before and after

The cream has also come from the vets, so hopefully with both we can finally get rid of the thing
