I'm looking for a non heating complete feed and came across thunder brooks pure essentials base mix. I'm looking for something without molasses and alfalfa. Any thoughts on it / has anyone used this?

Great feed with absolutely no rubbish in it :)
Look at their website and on their blog you'll see an article called something like "What do you feed your horses?", it will tell you what most feeds contains and a horse shouldn't have!
Been feeding their Herbal chaff and base mix since last april and very happy with it.
If you want no fatening ingredients at all get their new-ish Daily essentials which has the same good stuff as base mix but no linseed etc, just what they need on a daily basis :)
Lots of info on the Barefoot horse owners group uk (lots of us use thunderbrook on that page) and Eddie or Debbie at Thunderbrook are very knowledgeable and often reply to email even on a late evening!!
They also don't do hard sell and will advise you depending on the needs of your equine and how your horse lives etc :)
(No I don't work for them and don't get a commission, just very happy with their products with no cr*p in them!)
