Has anyone had to deal with their horse having a thyroid problem? A horse on our yard has had some cells drawn off a lump in her neck (which she has had for a few years) to check for lymph node issues. However the vet has found no evidence of problems in this area but thinks it may be thyroid related. She has not shown any discomfort from this lump and is now aged 15.Just wondered if anyone has had any experience in this area? what symptoms did the horse show and what was the treatment?

Thyroid adenomas are fairly common in horses and fairly insignificant. This is the most likely diagnosis though fna will confirm this ( if your vet sent off the sample for histopath).
