Is it me or are they becoming noticeably more expensive. We have paid £ 104 for two of us to go to Olympia this year and yesterday booked Windsor Europeans on Sat.

£45 for the jumping in the Afternoon and then another £ 49 for dressage in the evening

I know we'll see some top class action but this is becoming really expensive compared to shows like your horse live for £ 14 again with top class riders.

Me too. These are just the prices to get through the door never mind what you spend to get there, when you're there etc cos lets face it who can go to a show and come back empty handed with all those trade stands tempting us.

You know I was just thinking this, burghley/badminton go up every year. Its soutragious when you look at the British Horse Drving Trials Assosiation national championships at windsor great park this week is free on friday, sat and sunday are £8 and parking is free! Not like its a small show either, 114 competitiors in 14 classes!

The organisers of these shows need to be careful not to outprice people really, especially if you are going as a family. I saw pictures of Burghley and it looked empty around the trade stands. I know the weather was bad but if you have tickets you go regardless.

Some equally good shows are a fraction of the price so you could go to 4 your horse lives for the price of one olympia.

Due to the escalating cost of entry to watch various shows we only attend certain shows now, it's too expensive to travel all over the country paying high prices for fuel & entry to the shows.

Cheapest by far is to go & watch at Scope. You see thousands of rounds of show jumping at all levels right up to the country's top riders. Some of the classes are have massive tracks as well. All this for Free!!!

It's about the only thing that BSJA do for nothing.....probably because the cost of entries to these classes is so high they don't need to charge to watch.
