Ticklish Ponies

Has anyone had very ticklish ponies/horses.

I don't want to go into to much detail as I don't want the thread to wonder into a medical debate to quickly, but another thread on here got me thinking.

So, has anyone had a very ticklish pony or horse and did it turn out to be a 'symptom' of something else? Did you ever over come it or did you just learn to live with it?

chance hates and i mean hates you brushing or clipping in the elbow hallow of the left hand side (side you mount from)

i dont know if its "ticklish" or if before i got him some one was sticking there toe in to him wile mounting

he twitches wildly if you touch the area, the other side same spot he couldnt give to dams!

so i am just aware of it and try not to push my luck as it were, he is fine for his belly and every where else to be done so i dont even say its "ulcer behavouir"

We have one who much prefers to be groomed with a very firm brush, rather than a soft body brush. We think the soft brush must tickle her.

I have a very ticklish pony, I have to use a soft brush firmly because anything stiffer and used softly and he turns himself inside out. Nothing untoward about it all he is just very thin skinned and sensitive.
