My horse has about 30 of the little things all over his nose!! Dont know how he got them or where they have all come from but they are tiny and look horrible!!
What can I do to get them off apart from pulling each one off with a tick device!
I was thinking of using frontline on a flannel and wiping his nose or pasteing his nose with vaseline??
Any ideas would be wonderful...

Vaseline will smother them, but I don't think they will drop off so you will still have to remove them. Alcohol (spirit) works as well but again they won't drop off (and may intoxicate the poor horse).

if you can get hold of a tick remover - pet shops normally have them in stock - then just put it under the tick and turn anticlockwise - they unscrew. Then squash them flat!!!!!! I tried loads of differnt things to get rid of them but found the tick remover the only sensible answer.

Yup, I use Vaseline to get them off, and Frontline to keep them off. Maiden used to get HUGE browny/red ones, poor horse would end up with a huge bit of Vaseline hanging off her where I had covered the tick with it! They're supposed to drop off if you do that, but I found it just killed them then I'd be able to get them off more easily (and without breaking them) when they're dead.
ewwwwwww!

The suggestions are all great, I tend to put vaseline or something similar and then wait till they are dead and then pull them out. The only thing I would reccomend if you have that many of them is that you keep a careful eye on your horse and if anything changes (more stiff or just doesn't feel the same) get him tested for Limes disease as they do carry it and it is commonly undignosed. Hope this helps.

if u put a little drop of frontine on the ticks butt it kills them . I had to do this with my dog after taking her a walk down . ust a little bit and then they pulled out easy .
