Ticks

Hi
Not sure if this is in the right place, bt here goes.
My mare has moved down country to the new forest area,
since moving she is getting covered in ticks, especially on
her nose, my daughter is getting quite concerned.
Does anyone have any advice on coping with the little beggars.

Does no-one else in the New Forest area have problems with Ticks, if not
why not?

My boy gets covered in them too. Can't work out if I can see them on him as he has a pink nose and white hair and that the other horses have them too but just can't see the ticks on them.

I use a Tom o'tick tool (from Ebay) to get rid of them. I think you can get a Frontline tick spray from the vets but it is prescription only but it stops the ticks biting.
