I seem to be having a real problem with these horrid blood sucking****'s
Can anyone sugest the best tick prevention product to buy? It is only
over the past few days that my westie has picked them up. I use a
O'Tom tick twister to remove them but I would much prefer them not
to latch on in the first place..... thank you

Advantix, recommended by vet for dog allergic to tick bites. Some products kill the tick once it has bitten, others repel the ticks. Advantix repels them so they do not get a chance to bite.

Bravecto is a new drug on the market that I quite like. Great for dogs that swim as its a tablet
kills ticks within 8 hours of attaching so lyme disease risk is gone and most importantly it works for 3 months, the full 12 weeks of summer!works for both fleas and the type of tick found in the british isles.

otherwise seresto collar.advantix or prac-tic are all options.

very few reliable treatments (bar the seresto collar)actually prevent latching on.they are often based on time to kill of the parasite once it attaches..
