One of my dogs had a tick. I've felt something before just briefly then been unable to find it but today got it.
She has a kind of skin tag which had the tick on so not sure if that's what I've been feeling and the tick was new or if the tick has caused this?
I followed RSPCA advice on removing and it came out easily. I've cleaned the site with hibiscrub. Is this ok? Do I need to do any more?
 
no, that's fine as long as you got the head out, i've got one of those little tick removers, it's fab, i get a lot on my dogs living next to woods, sometimes you get a lump stay up for a few days as it gets a little inflamed where the nasty suckers hang on but i've never had a problem. xx

bet i hate ticks more than you! we have jumbo ones here that get to the size of a big pea and they are all black and shiny, sometimes they drop off and get splicked on the floor but sometimes you have to get them off and i want to heave!
Sorry i'm a bit absent at the moment , have had 3 abcesses, reacted to anti biotics badly , been stupid busy with work and have a poorly cat in the vets tonight.
Will try harder soon :) xx
