Just found first tick of the year on Pen. We have nexguard but 25-50kgs. Pen is about 22. Can I risk it or do I wait until tomorrow and get the correct dose?
Can you give 3/4? That’s what I’ve done beforeJust found first tick of the year on Pen. We have nexguard but 25-50kgs. Pen is about 22. Can I risk it or do I wait until tomorrow and get the correct dose?
Thought I’d resurrect this to say on 17th February we found over 15 big full ticks in our cockers ruff! None of the other dogs had any but the poor lad was being sucked dry.
The world is changing so much, never used to get them at this time of year, but then it was normally snowing and iced up in February on Dartmoor…
Ghillie was spayed today and the vets insist on seeing all the dogs before giving Bravecto, so five dogs and one husband whilst I’m at work it is!I am still getting the odd dead one, and they haven’t been bravecto’ed since September (maybe October?).
I will redo them all in April when I have my annual enormous vet spend of jabs, wormers and tick stuff.
I take them all in the car and dive in and out with two twos and then Ffee on her own as her and the vet are both equally enthusiastic about spending time in the same room. Actually, scrap that, her first as otherwise I can’t get her out of the car.Ghillie was spayed today and the vets insist on seeing all the dogs before giving Bravecto, so five dogs and one husband whilst I’m at work it is!
What is going on is global warming. My Facebook memories are mostly icy/snow from other years. Dunno what is going on. And 5 years since we lost Brig. Time flies. The OH couldn't believe it was that long.
Well, yes, I don’t live under a rock. I was not being 100% truthful. What is going on is global warming.
Removed 1 off B Fuzzys chest end January, only spotted it as she had been clipped the day before!Found one on a dog on 31st January this year!
