I need some fashion advice from you lovely HHO'ers. I show an m&m so wear a tweed jacket with a shirt and tie. I am absolutely useless with the tie, I can tie it but the knot always seems to move and I end up looking like a naughty school kid from the beano or something with my tie wonkey! I don't use any sort of tie pin or anything, any advice for keeping it straight? If I get a pin where am I supposed to pin?

Apologies for the dense question but my pony must be in despair at having to be seen with such a scruff bag!

:)

I get my mums partner to tie mine then just loosen it and slip it over my head ;-) then I pin it with a tie pin to my shirt. You can't go wrong with a tie pin really because if its to low down your jacket will cover it. I also have a collar pin (I think its called that? Tie can't move with that on!!

A collar pin, hmmmm, is that one that goes under the top of the tie and pins the two corners of your collar together? I was wondering I could do that? Might hit google images! Thank you

Yep that's it. I just got a plain gold one from showing gems. I think they look really smart. Wasn't very expensive at all. I made the holes in my collar using a large sewing needle. Can be tricky to get in and do up on your own, has a screw on ball, abit like a belly button bar! But you get the hang if it eventually! I use the reflection in the window of my lorry to do it up ;-)
