I bought a bag because they were going cheap but neither of mine seem to be digesting them at all well. I havent fed them before- does anyone else use them?

I used them years ago when my old chap was working hard, he lacked a bit of umph in schooling and lessons during the week then had too much energy at the competitions on the weekend so I fed them Sun Mon Tue then cool mix Wed Thu Fri Sat. They really did the trick for him, and I was not puffing like a train in the week!!!

Made bugger all difference to my old laid back chap, I found that normal oats were just as good and far cheaper (as well as hunting in the winter)!

Yes - B does really well on them. I buy them because they have the mineral balancer pellet in them and I am lazy....

Lol!
Oh thats god, hopefully they'll adjust to them soon then. Tbh I only bought them as they were cheap, neither need any more energy but hopefully it'll be turned into condition....

I feed for condition and XC stamina - they have not made him any more energetic or fizzed him up. Been using them for 2 seasons now - often just in the summer but this winter he was working harder so has come back on them earlier. Not had any probs with digestibility and he loves them!

The flip side is that as a wierd horse the only thing which has fizzed him up is alfa-a....go figure.

I found they didn't do much for my boys, but they are now on topspec turbo!

However they are fab for our rooks and jackdaws, they would scatter all the poos in the field so no need for poo picking as the worms did the rest!

I feed them in the summer when he is working harder, don't need a lot, think they are great and the balancer pellet in them prevents hassle with unbalancing your calcium:phos ratios.

Don't want to get too graphic but have you poked about in what you think is undigested oats in their poo? I thionk you will find that it is just the oat hull (the outside fibrous coat) that you are seeing and that all the rest of the goodies have been digested very nicely.

A bit of a thought poking about in it but will hopefully alleviate your concerns

I used them many years ago with equilibra and dengi. My horse was novice eventing and needed energy but not fizz (typical TB and a nutcase). Personally I thought they were great. The combination of feed kept his weight up (an absolute miracle for this particular horse) and gave him controllable energy.
