My pony has had Tildren and 7 injections of Adequan but would like to hear good or bad if any one has had success with these treatements for navicular syndrome. Presently she is still lame but have been told to walk her only hacking but no schooling. Thanks for any replies.

I've had a couple of horses that have had Adequan for DJD, both successful and stayed sound for ages afterwards. No experience with use of Adequan for navicular though, sorry.

My horse has had 1 lot of injections for ringbone and DJD (not 100% on what the names of them were as I am USELESS with names ) but both of those sound familiar!

My mare was also put on certain supplements and obviously bute to help when needed and she is now sound :D I took her shoes off which helped hugely (get trimmed every 6 weeks to keep her toes short) and the more work she is in and also being out helps her loads!

Just follow your vets advice (if you agree with the advice that is) and you will know how much your horse can manage :)

Good luck!!

Our boy had Tildren for bone spavins which I think did help improve him, also know of 2 other horses who again showed improvement after having it done

My horse had a Tildren treatment for spavin and navicular - made absolutely no difference whatsoever.......taking her barefoot and getting a decent physio has worked wonders though!
