Took otto to his second BSJA comp yesterday. After his debut performance I was feeling very confident. Oh dear
Warm up he was a bit of a loon charging to his fences but finally managed to settle him.
First class he started rushing again so really slowed him down and made him wait for the fences. Jumped clear but 2 time faults due to my actions. Still managed 5th as only 4 clear rounds.
BN he jumped beautifully. Perfect rythm and didn't touch a pole. To say I was stunned when I got 1 time fault is an understatement. NO WAY was he slow
Watched a few go round and the only ones that got inside the time either cut corners or were moving excessively fast for a first round. Had a chat with course builder but time still stood.
Am qual he just rolled the style in the first round. Total rider error as I had got a little complacent about his jumping and let the engine disengage on the turn in.
So all in all the results just didn't reflect how well he was jumping.
Perhaps I should change my name to 'TimeFaulter'
me thinks a trip to keysoe on wednesday might be in order
