Time hop

I recently found an old photo and tried to do one of those time hop things, although the participants weren't much up for complying so the result is slightly awkward!

But never mind, here is my attempt - same dog, same cat, same sofa, approx 14 years gap between the two photos

Haha, I have to say that I'm not entirely sure when the sofa dates from. It was pulled out of a skip about two years before the first picture was taken. Someone clever will probably be able to date it from the fabric.

I also hadn't clocked quite how dishevelled the sofa was when I took the recent photo

Thanks! The cat has gained a bit of arthritis and the dog lost an eye, so maybe they balance out!

Incidentally, for general interest, the lost eye was a result of sudden onset glaucoma (as in pressure went from normal to 4 x over top limit in the space of 24 hours) earlier this year. The pressure in the other eye was also climbing but was caught in time to save it with drugs. She lost sight in the worse eye in the space of 12 hours. After it was removed we had it analysed and no underlying cause found, so a bit of an odd one. All credit to the knowledge and extremely quick action of my vet that the other eye and her vision was saved.
