Time out allowance in eventing?

I have just finnished reading AT's interview in latest news! i read with interest her comment (or Mark Phillips) re: time out for the rider to dismount if they suspect injury!
Just wanted opinions and thoughts! do you think its workable?
Personally i think it sound like a excellent idea- i am not an eventer though!

Not sure how it would work. It would need some careful looking at to stop people using it as an excuse to give their horse a breather. Having said that, anything that would prevent a reoccurance of the AT incident can only be a good thing.

i am not sure it would work either...i think it would cause lots of disputes...how often does a case like AT happen...most people can feel when their horse isnt sound and most are sensible enough to stop.

I think it is a bad idea and something that would get exploited. If your horse is wrong you stop, and take your time faults
