Time to PTS?

Over the years I have had 4 oldies pts, with 3 I found it difficult to make the decision but afterwards was happy that I had done the right thing for them. The other I had regrets about, but the regrets were that I hadn't done it about a month sooner instead of keeping her going on bute. Only you can make the decision about your horse, you know how they behave and when they are content and if you feel that they are not their normal self and not going to be any better in spite of your care, you will know what you have to do.

this,^^^ I have lost both my old girlies in the last year the one was a planned PTS and the other wasn't I wish I had made the call earlier with my second mare. Only you know your horse, take the vets advice on board and as above, you will know what you have to do! - hugs!
