I am so bl~~~y angry.....I have just seen a new advert for a pony that we went to look at last week-soooo not as described its almost funny!!! It was for loan with view to sale, it sounded absolutely perfect, but turned out to be a complete nightmare. my son was devasted too, so that made me even angrier!!!!
The story is....I called up about this supposedly wonderful pony, the lady wanted to comed and see the yard, ok fair enough but she couldnt come for 2 weeks, so we patiently waited as we really thaught this was the one, the time finally came and she turned up and picked holes into every little thing, now I know she wanted good home for pony etc etc but was made to feel totally cr@p!! Anyway, I waited another day before she got back to me and said she was happy for him to come to us and we could get him the next week, she was quite a way from us so to take the trailer. She then told us that the pony was going to some jumping thing so we couldnt get him......this made me really cross as we had already agreed to get him, anyway.....we waited yet another week patiently, meanwhile turning others down for this 'perfect one' my son was sooo excited........the day came and we hitched up the trailer and spent nearly 90 quid in diesal and 5 hrs of driving to get there and be told that she wasnt happy as she had to assess my sons riding as he probably wouldnt be good enough for her horse- I was mortified, felt totally stupid as this was not mentioned before, I was small enough to tyr this pony on his behalf and she agreed this before. But I took one look at him and realised how fat this thing was (verging on laminitis) and lame with swollen hocks which she knew before we even got there!!!!! She still harped on about how this pony would be super pc, baring in mind it could barely walk!! She told me she she would get the vet out and call us in a few days when sound and we could go back up with the child!!!!!!!!!!!!! The cheek!!!! We have not heard anything, and not only has she readvertised this pony-she has put his price up by another 500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was so rude to us and said that he would be perfect etc etc, then told us when we got there that he was dead to the legf and hand etc
I feel so insulted about it all, how can I stop others wasting there time on this 'not as advertised' pony with an equally rude owner telling children they arent good enough to ride him
