Now I don't see them as timewasters at all in fact quite the opposite. They phoned to let you know as they had already found the horse they really wanted.

Would you have preferred it if they turned up wasted you time by trying the horse then told you they had bought another?

I agree with Burtie. At least they let you know. What should they have done? Come and seen yours knowing full well they'd already made their decision? Maybe they could have rang a bit earlier but other than that I can't see that they should be labelled timewasters.

I had the same thing happen to me last weekend, however, they did let me know which is infinately better than just not turning up, I don't think this is timewasting at all tbh, if they had not called you - now that would be timewasting.

I also would be extremely furious, but unfortunatly it seems timewasters are on the increase.
Although they did take the trouble to inform you, I feel sure they could have let you know earlier.

I wouldn't necessarily call that timewasting if I'm honest as they did let you know they wouldn't be coming, granted they could have let you know earlier but at least they still called.

It's no excuse, but when I was looking for a new horse I would often arrange several viewings in a day (obviously allowing the necessary time to try said horse and travel to view the next) in which case had the 2nd horse of the day been my perfect horse I would definitely have cancelled any other viewings, giving perhaps about an hours notice. I don't see this as timewasting, quite the opposite in fact, as it would be a bigger waste of time to view a horse I knew I wasn't interested in buying.
