Just wondered if anyone on here is familiar with Tina Myles or her horse sales in Wiltshire? This ad caught my eye as a possible good opportunity to find a nice horse at a realistic price as seller says she is downsizing/relocating so is selling quite a few. I'm not from the South West so would be going quite a long way, so just want to be sure it is worth the trip...

Anyone know if this is all legit? Any feedback/PMs appreciated! :)

Here's the ad (hope the link works):

Didn't think we're mean't to comment on dealers. However I believe she's been selling for a few years certainly when we were looking for bigger horse 2 yrs ago she was selling. About a year ago she was "downsizing". Regularly competes at local RC in the area. Haven't heard any stories and usually the bad ones travel fast.

Why not try googling the name and number - you can often find quite a bit this way.

My friend has purchased a youngster and an in foal mare from her. Very happy with both. She is moving to Ireland, hence the sale of horses. Like anything, go with your eyes open and you might pick up a bargain!

Apologies if the thread is in the realm of 'don't discuss dealers!' - as it is out of my area, I was just hoping for a message or two from locals that could say if the advert was genuine re:downsizing/relocating or if it was bogus/typical tall story. I did try google but just came up with horse classifieds and couldn't find a website for her.

Anyway, thanks for the messages - much appreciated :)

She has been trying to sell up and relocate for a bit - struggling to sell the horses for the asking prices in the current market. Don't know the horses themselves, but in my conversations with her over the years, she's always been straightforward and easy to deal with

Dont know which horses you were looking at but she sold several of mine in 2011, some without passports and with no history (one lame in both front feet!). Not my choice that they were sold and neither would I have placed them with a dealer to sell - some had exceptional breeding which she was unaware of and someone got some real bargains. As horse dealers go I suspect she is nothing unusual, horses seem well looked after, but I guess as a general rule dealers dont really care where the horses end up.
Has said she is relocating for years and nothing ever seems to come of it so make of that what you will

I bought my first horse via her 12ish years ago. Back then she referred to herself as an 'agent.' Everything she told me about the horse I bought was pretty spot on ... and she was quite honest about his bad points ... saying he was a bit lazy (he is!) and spooky see's plastic bags in the hedge type of thing (he does!) Although now he's old and creaky he's been a fab, wonderful horse and I have no complaints.

I guess with everything you buy go in eyes wide open!

I know of her. I think she might have judged me at a dressage competition once but I could well be mistaken, was a while ago!

Anyway, that's irrelevant, but I've not heard anything bad about her and know a few people who seem to know her quite well and they're not the types to keep their mouths closed if they had any complaints about her. She has come up in conversation a few times and nothing bad has been mentioned or commented upon. As others have said, go in with your eyes wide open, as you would when buying any horse, but I wouldn't say there's any reason to be unduly concerned/avoid her.

Does anyone have Tina Myles' address we bought a horse from her 3 or 4 years ago (she also said at the time she was stopping dealing horses but I know she hasn't) The horse is lovely no complaints with him but earlier this year I had to send his passport to BE to register him they said there was a problem and I had to send it to Irish sports horse board where they told me it had been doctored and didn't belong to my horse we had to have him checked for a microchip and dna tested to prove the passport wasn't his and then were told to get in contact with the seller. We got in contact with Tina but she has refused to help therefore we seeked legal advise and need her address so we can track down who committed the fraud help would be greatly appreciated.
