Is it just me or does its neck and head look WAY out of proportion to the rest of it? Not a fan of breeding just for size, gimme a proper foal any day, way cuter!
hmm, horrifically back at the knee, hope that improves as he strengthens up. not a fan of the size of his head in relation to his body... they say he's not showing dwarfism but i'm not sure. in some of the pics/vids his new owner keeps picking him up and cuddling him... jeeeez, it's a HORSE, not a toy dog! there is something rather wrong with a foal only weighing 6 lbs. i hope this mania for breeding smaller and smaller pigs, dogs, and now horses etc stops before we end up with lots of little mutants which can't reproduce normally and have loads of health issues...
I agree with Kerilli. I tried to post a comment on the video last night before i saw this thread but they have to be aproved so i don't think it will make it on there.
His mum is obviously distressed at him being carried, and they didn't even let her off the leadrein when they were put out and she was trying to trot after him. That is going to be one mentally messed up little pony. Plus, how are his legs ever going to get stronger if he gets carried everywhere like a silly little handbag dog!
The bit where it said 'his new human mum' made me rage. He has a mum, the best kind of mum for him- his own horsey one. Or he would have if they would let her do her job instead of just being a milk bar.
That said, he is super cute
Although i still don't agree with breeding for freakishly small animals.
I also agree with kerilli, i dont agree with this breeding for size it is wrong if nature intended it it would happen naturally.
I also disagree with their saying he is showing no signs of dwarfism i am sure there are signs with the head to body ratio, but then i am no expert on these things.
It is all wrong, will they be bringing out pony bags next and they become some sick kind of accessory.
