I'm playing with a friends 4 year old she is a little poppet but only 14.3hh. Being used to 16hh plus I find it brings out all the worst of my riding faults. I lose my stirrup because I draw my leg up and have caught myself tipping forward twice not good on a baby.

I do best if I can focus on a mental image any suggestions other than dont ride a 4 year old if you cant sit up straight.

Can you imagine stretching down and around horse to give aids/have leg where it should be? As in everything you think abt legs (e.g. nudge to go forwards) gets prefixed down and around (e.g. reach down and around horse to nudge to go forwards)?

Been thinking abt this lately as teaching tall OH... I have little legs, much easier!
