I'm hoping to compete in BYEH classes this year with my homebred boy, although he's only rising 4 and has me on back (I'm only 14) he's going great so really aiming for these classes, don't think it'll be pushing him although if it ever seems that it is we'll drop down a few levels. I wondered if anyone had any tips or advice for competing in these classes. Also got a few questions..
1) Can you change length of stirrups between dressage and jumping?
2)Is the dressage in a 60x20m arena or 40x20m arena, a bit confused there as it says different on different sites.
I'd be super grateful if anyone could give me any advice, thanks Susie:)

Gamebird, that's really helpful so thanks for posting the link! i am hoping to do the 4 yo class at Bramham this year (got the entry form all ready to send off now!). I have decided to enter anyway and, if I feel he is not ready by the time (i will obviously have done some events on him prior to that), then I will just withdraw. I watch the class every year and always think it looks fairly simple and there is a real mix of abilities (horse wise) so I am hoping he will be ok!

See you there! Already entered my baby, you planning to do any more classes in the north?:)

Well, I intend on doing a couple of dressage events and then need to start him jumping! The plan is to do Hambleton which is just shortly before Bramham. If that doesn't go well then I will withdraw from Bramham. As much as I'd love to do it, I am not going to push him if he's not ready.
I may see you about!
