Question in title :)

My rowels have got gunked up with horsey grease - have tried scrubbing them with washing up stuff and its not working....any suggestions???

Remove the leather and soak in very hot water and a good squirt of Domestos. An old toothbrush is great for getting into nooks & crannies too. I clean all my bits this way and they sparkle. Obviously rinse well.

On other metal work that I can't soak in hot water I use 'Never Dull', it comes in a tin and is a funny material type stuff that is soaked in a really good metal cleaner - leaves no white residue.
