Well out line is not every thing, but if your horse is not tense and relaxed they tend to give marks and be more leanent, becuase the horse is focused. Also working with you space and making sure you do a 'Round' 20 meter circle is needed.
Good Luck

which class are you doing btw? getting close now and im a bit eeeeeeeeeek LOL off to pontispool tomorrow for the unaffil jumping as not jumped a course in about 5 months!

As for the dressage if you don't have the outline you want relaxed forward and accurate. Don't throw marks away by not being accurate as you can easily lose a mark every time. Ride to your markers and do your transistions on your markers.

If you are riding forward into a soft contact your horse should then round and soften over its back working forward into your outside hand.

With your medium steps it is better to show none then to run through the bridle. Collect before the transition to medium and then push forward but for a longer stride NOT to go faster.

For your trot to halt transition that can still be progressive with one or two strides of walk in the middle. Practice obviously, what you want is to produce a smooth forwards downwards transition. You have to maintain the forwardness through to the halt and by doing so you are far more likely to acheive a square halt
