Tips for giving a foal antibiotic paste???

As the title says really... have to give Troy some tonight (put it off this morning because I was on my own, but taking hubby up tonight).

Have someone, your OH, put an arm round his bottom to support him and stop him running back, give it to him as you would a wormer but you may need to put an arm round his neck to make it easier for you. There is no really technique to it as they will try their hardest not to play ball.
Oh and make sure you don't block him from mum.
 
dilute the paste in some water and put into a shringe and as above give it to him like a wormer holding his nose up so the fluid goes down his throat..
 
Thanks... I just gave him the paste (we have been given a paste syringe you see) and he was a little star! He just stood and let me do it and then started lifting his lip when he tasted it. Hannah could smell antibiotics though and would not touch her tea. I have left it in with her so I am hoping she will munch it slowly.
