My horse lunges beautifully over trotting poles - but when I ride him over it all goes wrong.

I know its me and not him.

Could you give me some tips please

Thanks in advance

Ditto, I should imagine you come up to the poles and then suddenly 'try' which suddenly starts giving your ned different questions... Just make sure he can stretch over them, so don't hold him back.

Get a rhythmic trot before you approach the poles, then don't change anything. Really, just post the trot and and count one-two-one-two. Also, of course make sure they are spaced properly apart for your horse.

Thanks - thats really helpful.

I think I approach and then leg on and push forward which my horse then questions me rather than trotting over the poles

Thanks - these tips are really useful.
I will try again with random poles around the school then put 2 together and so on.
Oh, and imagine they are not there.

Thanks again.
