My horse is a nightmare and tears anything he can get hold of, thankfully he leaves his rugs alone (well when he is wearing them anyway!)
I have tried different sprays to stop chewing, I bought him a bib to attach to his headcollar but he manages to remove it.
Most of the time chewing isn't a problem but I would like to boot him in the field as he keeps injuring himself, he is currently on box rest with a large slice out of his leg which has required stapling and bandaging, he keeps removing the bandages which is doing the wound no good as its constantly being disturbed and pulled at.
Any tips on stopping chewing would be gratefully received!!

You can get a cribox spray that tastes disgusting!!!! (I've forgotten to wash my hands after using it

). It certainly stopped my little pony pulling everyone elses rugs off in the field!

I put some large brushing boots over bandages (not too tight) and covered them in cribox - they were easier to wash it off after than bandages would be!

Thanks all, I have covered his bandages tonight in cribox with chilli powder on top, will see if they are still on tomorrow! I like the parcel tape idea though!!
