Tips for stretching leather boots

I have a pair of leather Ariat long boots that are tight across the top of my feet. I got them out of the cupboard to take photos and sell them, but I really don’t want to part with them! I’ve tried shoe stretching spray and a hairdryer and am currently walking round the house trying to ignore the pain.? Any other tips? (It’s only actually one boot, the other is fine).

Get them wet (walking in wet grass should do it) and stuff them with newspaper to keep them stretched.
Also, tip from boot seller....take the footbeds (insoles) out to wear them a few times, will give you more room.
