Iv got a really ticklish horse who twitches when he's clipped. Don't get me wrong he's not naughty to clip I can tie him up and crack on but in certain areas as soon as the clippers touch him he twitches so much I just can't get a clean cut and tbh what I done last year was so bad I don't want to do the same job this year. It was imbarassing taking him out in public.
So any tips?
Would trimmers be better? For these areas?

I feel your pain! In an ideal world I would sedate the beggers but alas that is not possible so I stretch the skin as much as poss with the palm of my hand and try and keep the clippers as firm as possible going over the area 3-4 times to scoot it all off. As for elbows - I kind of half skin twitch - ie I grab a lump of skin, pull it tought and clip away.

Bloomin tb's!
