Title says it all really. I have a white dressage pad that can be washed at 60, but it doesn't really come out sparkling. What is best to add - some have suggested Borax, others Washing Soda.
What amounts?

Vanish oxy (the stuff in the pink tub) is quite good. Warning though I washed my lovely new white nummah on a hot wash and it did shrink it, it’s now pony as opposed to full, gutted.

numnah is now small and wavy.

Hi, I have white saddle cloths and I wash mine with Daz after reading someone elses thread the other week and I have to admit that I have changed to Daz for all my washing as it does bring the whites up whiter!

Buy a nice new one, keep it in its plastic bag, use it just for comps, wash it straight after & put it back in the bag.

Use NAPISAN.. Cheaper than the OXY stuff. If it can bring babies nappies back to white it can deal with a numnah! Found in the baby department - just don't let your friends see you there - it might start rumours.

Thanks for the suggestions - I can't boil it, that would ruin it.

I particularly like this pad and I don't know if they are still for sale or else I would buy a new one.

I will try the various suggestions, one at a time!

Remember that the black marks from the saddle will be hidden by the saddle, so it does not have to be spotless. I use the Vanish Oxy liquid and it shifts most of it. Helps if you put some on neat before hand too on the worst stains.
