I want to show my ID horse in an in-hand hunter class this summer, progressing to ridden hunter - but not sure of what I have to do or wear or what happens in both classes. My horse has done lots of this before with his previous owner, but not with me. Any advice gratefully received.

I've only done one county show with a trot up, and my advice would be PRACTICE RUNNING IN LONG BOOTS!!

(for when you do your ridden class of course)

Sorry I know that's not that great a help!

And practice running fast, he needs to show off his pace and not be totting along.

He should be plaited mane and tail and be show in a pelham or double bridle, with flat noseband and browband.
