i have all terrains on my trooper - fab for mud - not so great for economy! but i'd not have road tyres - useless for off roading and i do quite a lot

what type of tyre you choose is down to your pocket - ie how much you want to spend. I don't buy expensive high speed rated tyres because I don't do that sort of driving. I also rarely take my Isuzu off road, so I don't have muddy tyres. I tow a large trailer and only compete at venues with hard car parking. I believe it is better to have tyres in pairs, ie, the same tyre pattern in front or behind, rather than different sorts all over.

I had Grabber AT's on my shogun. They were about £90 each, which I didn't think was too bad.

Certainly worth it as I never ever got stuck even in the deepest mud and snow. (and we did try

if you go on quick fits web site and type in your reg number it will give you some recommended tyres for your 4x4......as MrsM knows- if they are not rated for 4x4's then they are not up to the job.

I just spent £330 on 4 Pirellis for my disco.

Doesn't matter what make, as long as they are all the same specification. Ideally you should have the same make on the same axel. If they are all still legal I would wait until they need replacing.
