Does anyone have one of these girths? My horse is quite grumpy about his girth being done up. I have had everything checked, no ulcers, no back issues, saddle checked, nothing besides grumpy when girth being done up (this is before it is even tightened) and grumpy when rug is being put on, just when pulled forwards to do up at the chest. Both of these suggest there is an issue of some sort between whither and bottom of rib cage, but nothing clinical to back it up. I have being doing a lot of research to see where pain could emanate from and it appears that a spasmed 'posterior pectoral' muscle could be a possible cause. There is a massage routine suggested which I will try but it also suggests a wider girth and ensuring the saddle/girth don't sit too far forward. This has led me to the quite pricy Tixerant girth. Anyone have one of these, and any good or bad feedback?

Is it worth trying Succeed incase of hind gut ulcers (which are nigh on impossible to diagnose). Sorry, not much help with the girth query, but you mention grumpiness when rugging which suggests it isn't necessarily a problem with the girth.
