What do you mean by sympathise? Are you saying the op agrees with the slave trade? I think not. So you are saying that the op may not oppose the slave trade, because s/he is WHITE?

That's bloody racist.

And would come as a hell of a shock to William Wilberforce, I must say.
 
With regard to the slavery comment, I am reasonably local to Run to Earth, near us is a memorial to about 20 young girls between the ages of 6 and 14. They died in a mill fire about 150 years ago. They were working the night shift, they were locked in to ensure that they stayed at work all night, the place caught fire they all died. Their wages were paid in 'tally tickets' which had to be spent at the mill owners shop. They lived in mill owned houses, the rent was taken out of their wages. Sounds pretty near to slavery to me. Oh and guess what, none of them was fat because they couldn't afford to eat more than the bare minimum and worked 12-14 hour shirts at heavy physical labour.
Back to the point of the OP. People can be whatever size they please, those who are too heavy for the horse they ride, need to consider the needs of the horse, just like those who ride unfit horses for hours at a time need to reconsider, it isn't about 'fattist' it's about horse welfare.

What makes you think that YOU are any better qualified to understand the atrocity of the war than anyone else? How dare you question anyone else's ability to sympathise on the grounds that THEIR race wasn't targetted? For your information, homosexuals, gypsies, people with all manner of mental and physical disability, Soviets, Poles, religious dissidents and anyone else who spoke out against Nazism were systematically imprisoned, tortured, experimented on and murdered. In fact NON Jewish victims of the holocaust number around 11 million.
Don't even get me started on whoever it was said that a white person couldn't sympathise with slavery :mad:
