and i live in a 10yr house ,that was rebuild over old houses ,if you get my drift
anyway i have experienced shall we say strange going ons ,such as radio turning it self on ,when its been turned off but still on cd , tv swiched its self on and off , lights on when ive come home ,but have double checked before i left that everything is switched off , freesat box turned off , creeking of floorboards once or twice aweek upstairs ,
my kids room i have a horrible feeling about ,but never made a deal about it , and one night my youngist child screamed and said his lights keeped being turned on and off ,
anyhow thinking of all these things i put aside and thought there must be some kind of story behind why these things where happing .
any how i took some photos this morning to sell a rug i have and thought where to put it as its new and dont want to get it dirty ,anyhow i put it on the rails up the top of stairs ,anyhow i took this photo and look what i got ,i took another and it was normal

I shall be following this with interest. dont know anything about "orbs" what are they?

Orbs are believed (by many) to be ghosts in the form of balls of light. They are life forms that travel in groups and are believed to be the human soul or life force of those that once inhabited a physical body here on earth.

That is quite odd!
You do get spots like that when there is moisture in the air but there is normally much more then just 1.. it seems to be a weird colour as well..
Scary going's on in your house! That would spook the hell out of me!

no flash on

and no i dont usally get these with or with out flash on in the house ,mainly i take photos down stairs

Some people believe orbs are the early manifestation of a spirit, however I think science has disproved that and they commonly appear in digital photography, usually in low lighting.

I have an open mind regarding the supernatural too but I don't think orbs should be any cause for concern- they appear on my photos all the time.

I could write a book on what happened to us at our house, but the short version is that I did some research and figured out who I thought would be our "troubled spirit" and eventually managed to locate a photo of her. She now sits on our mantlepiece and we have not had a peep out of her since putting her there :)

I am not kidding when I say you should probably sit on your stairs and have a conversation with your "presence" - and then look into the history of the site of your house and see if you can come up with anything.

Not into the orb thing myself, but I have experienced a lot of other things :)

I don't think you shoukd be overly worried, but if you have an uneasy feeling about a particular room then I would trust your instinct on that one and there may well be something that is in that room. I have had a ghostly experience a house I stayed in when i was a student. There were strange goings on in that house too and we did find out there was a man (ghost) there. I 'saw' him one afternoon and it freaked me out (especially when he laughed at me cos I freaked out!!!!) but later we were told that a friend of a previous householder was a medium and had visited the house and straight away said there was man sat in one of the chairs. How she described the guy and what he was wearing was exactly what i had seen before!!

We never did anything about finding out who he was but I would maybe suggest you do that with your house - do some research about what was there before, ask neiaghbours maybe, has anyone else seen or heard anything about the house and ghostly goings on? I think that is the best way of finding out info to be honest. The main thing is to try not let it worry you too much. However, to be on the safe side I would maybe look at getting an electrician to double check the wiring in the property to make sure it isn't faulty!

No idea re photo but definately believe in them as have seen many over the years (& happy to publically admit it). As a child I saw them in my bedroom, wasn't scared, thought it was a puppet show. Moved house when I was 10 to a semi on a housing estate. Was a malicious spirit in house, always used to see him out the corner of my eye, then he would disappear. Refused to stay alone in that house until I was 16 years old (& I am not a wuss). Then my parents had some building work done upstairs, which totally changed things. Spirit went, no problems, was happy to stay in house. 20 years on never seen him again. Have seen my first cat a couple of times but she's friendly as ever.

well parts of my house are over 1000 years old (its an old manor house) and we get all manner of freaky stuff going on.

in one of the spare rooms there is a lady, all in black, i think she is in mourning, and she stands by the bed. makes me cry when i see her. and in our bedroom there is a ''male'' presence that calls me by another name and makes me feel very uncomfortable, but since we moved the bed i havent seen him. something walks the hallway and a door slams quite often, where there are no doors that are slammable. there is also something which i believe is a dog as my dog will all of a sudden yap and run upstairs, then run up and down the corridor chasing something..

i have been told im very suseptible (cant think of the right word, in tune kind of) to the paranormal and have an apathetic/sympathetic aura that picks up on presences, and i agree with it. unfortunately i cant find out much out about my house. :(

i took the second straight after without cleaning lens to see if it was the lens but i got a clear pic without the circle

Light a candle in the room where you think the spirit is, talk to it and explain that there is nothing there for it and to go towards the light. Then leave the candle until it burns out.

Usually works on the more friendly types anyway! My sister in law has had to get rid of a few spirits in her new house and this has worked every time.

Good luck!

my husband is a photographer and he said it's 100% a particle of dust. the difference between two photos is that the light was falling slightly differently and in one case, the dust was lit and in the other, not. It could also have been not on the lens, but just floating in air, and could have easily floated away by the time of second shot. So not to worry :)
