I'm having trouble finding the right horse (at the right price

!) so I'm debating whether or not to buy anything at all!

The reason for this is that I have a super 3 yr old standing in my field that I left to mature but plan to start backing at the end of August.

So, should I give up the hunt and concentrate on my youngsters? Whilst in the process saving a bundle of money that could go towards a shiny new trailer to replace the one I have oh, and not forgetting that I'd have way less work to do across the winter!

OR, should I keep looking??

I'm genuinely not sure what to do......

Hot chocolate and marshmallows for getting this far (well, it is Friday!

Sounds like you've almost come to a decision in your own mind. I would keep looking in the meantime, if you're not bothered whether you find anything or not, then the right horse is more likely to come along!

I would focus on your youngster but still look because i agree with everyone else that the right horse always finds you.x

I agree, the right horse will quite often find you. When I bought my current lad I wasnt even in the market for another horse. The woman that owned him (who Id met once) phoned me up out of the blue and asked me if I wanted him. Knew from the minute I saw him he was the one for me. There was something special about him even then and although he's been a difficult b****r I've never looked back.
Good luck
