Sadly not mine as she lived in Australia but Jessie was my favourite mare when I worked on a cattle station in the Territory.

This is us at Katherine Country show & rodeo about to warm her up for the manager to compete (in campdrafting).

Loved this wee mare and it broke my heart when they made me hog her, she had a gorgeous mane (after I detangled it)

I was allowed to compete her in campdrafting at the Timbercreek draft. World's worst photo; print of a scan back in the olden days (2003). We were not supposed to be that far away from the cow! We did manage to cut it from the herd and "bend it" in the pen before totally losing it out on course ha ha

Stunning .
That’s how I ended up with a buckskin, when I was young my favourite horse was a buckskin polo pony called Goldie ,( also with a hogged main ) she was a real character , used to pull like a train , skip and jog, but a very good polo pony full of life who could turn on a sixpence. It broke my heart when she was sold. I always dreamed of buying my own goldie , I achieved that last year and she’s so similar .

Seeing all these gorgeous duns reminds me that back when I was first showing appaloosas there was a blanket spotted dun stallion called Kwa Heri. I really liked him but he was never used at stud so didn't get the chance to use him. I hadn't thought about him in years, amazed my memory dredged his name up.
