Just brought my horse in to very light work after having since august off due to a hock operation he hasnt been clipped full coat feathers he looks like a cob/hair monstesr would you wait till the spring coat came though (going to take ages) or would it be to thick just to clip him all out ! underneath the fat and fluff in a very made ID !

We always clip right out this time of year, one connie x fluffy something and one percheron x TB. I did one a half horses yesterday. Then we double rug at night, otherwise they drive themselves mad itching and sweat just going up the road. We bought the connie in April last year he was clipped out, and his coat came throught lovely and i showed him in the summer:)

If you're only just bringing him back into work I wouldn't bother, he will have lost his winter coat by the time you're ready to do much with him won't he?
