To clip or not to clip

Hi all
Interested in opinions. My boy is currently blanket clipped. I've got a friends coming to help me tidy his legs up on sat as he's a real fidget.

I'm wondering if I should just whip the lot off while I'm at it. He gets mites so they would be easier to manage. But I don't want him to be chilly! (god I'm so soft!)

When the clocks change, he'll be ridden 5/6 days a week in moderate work and is prone to sweating up even in his summer coat.

I'm not a fan of clipping unnecessarily or for 'fashion' so would be interested in others views...

Thanks

Kirstyl yes he is! But as a cob he still has a substantial summer coat plus I keep his legs trimmed and mane hogged so I can treat his mites :)

I'd be tempted to whip it all off now, but you don't have much longer to make your mind up before the summer coat starts to come through.

I'm having the same dilemma with my retired TB who is surprisingly woolley and has been sweating on these warmer days. Last year, he still had some wool on his belly until June!
