Beautiful, wish i had a bond like this with my stroppy mare :)
Just 1 question, HOW do you keep him so CLEAN???!!! please please please tell me the secret! Stroppy mare is a fleabitten grey, but her lifes aim is to become a hippo, the other day i spent 3 hours, yes 3 whole hours, cleaning her face, legs and tail, i had to pick mud out of her ears and pick it off her eyelashes! So any tips you have on keeping them clean, will be great :D

Pingpongpony- this was exactly my thoughts! After washing mine twice before our last outing! And she is flea bitten/steel grey legs! :-)

The answer to the question is I use Daz :p In all seriousness when he is out and its cold and wet he has a rug on.
Legs are always washed down when I bring him in.I give him another good brushing when he is in his stall as I enjoy grooming him and find it therapeutic.

If its cold in the stable he has a thing rug and he does not have a thick coat that helps with the poo stains however, I am also fanatical clean freak when it comes to his stall and find my self picking the poo out at 11pm when I go to say good night.

Not always so clean !

maybe it's just mine that enjoys snorkeling in the mud then, because her face is always the worst! :D
She has rugs on too, unfortunately legs dont get washed down when brought in becasue we have no hosepipe and only 2 buckets so it would take hours :( For her tail i found the vanish (not on the dock!) and bio washing powder for white fabrics, they are the best, after using those, it keeps tail clean for ages, mus and dirt seems to slide off easily.
Ah well, i will have to accept my faith as a grey-scrubbing-owner and stock up on my cleaning products :D
