my just turned 2yo(idxcob) is getting huge just from looking at the spring grass coming through now.
she is on a 22 acre field atm but due to go on another big one in a week or so with lots more fresh grss on it.not been grazed since hayed last year.
she has been having 1 stubbs scoop dengie good doer and 1 scoop ff once a day.im thinking of stopping the daily feed.
she is out in day and in at night with 3-4 secs hay, soon to be out 24/7.

so my question is,is there enough vits n mins in the grass and hay to support a growing 2yo or does she need just a bit of good doer with a multi vit supp??

I would definitely cut out the hard feed. Dr green is on his way and that should be sufficient. Overweight youngsters are not a healthy option imo :)

well just got back from yard and she was not impressed not having anything lol,she kept looking and waiting.i gave in and gave her a handfulof good doer with one carrot i will wean it down to nothing over next few days.
but i was also not impressed tonight at yard...a mouse or rat had chewed thro her wetherbeeter fleece that i havnt long bought,it got through a shires rug bag,its got loads of big holes over it :( :( have to get needle n cotton out me thinks

Holy moly out on 22 acres?! IS it good grass? How many others are with her?

If shes over weight before she goes on that you've got a real lami / obese risk keep a very close eye on her

been on it since august with 10 others, shes not over weight at the mo,just getting a bit of a belly which i dont want to get any more being a youngster.
i just wanted to know if there are sufficiant vits/mins in just gras and hay for healthy growth
