Help! Am at a yard which is made lovely by the people on it. Facilities are ok nothing amazing. Fields not the best. And is really expensive. About 30 horse's so fairly busy and buzzy which is nice. Have found a lovely small yard with huge field, big stables and nice school & cheaper. But is quiet and probably won't see many people. This will make me focus on my horses and ride more. Hopefully building up my confidence with help of lessons! What would other people do?

I'm on a fairly small yard and at times I struggle to find someone to ride with but now I have made friends with everyone on the yard I usually pre arrange to meet someone for a hack. I like the fact it's not over busy, some days I see no one (usually the winter) now the better weather is here I usually see someone most days.

Have you had a good look at the new yard, spoke to the other liveries?

Agree with above about finding someone to ride with, but I prefer hacking alone anyway.

I think I would also go and speak tk others, see how they like it and if you think you will.

Sounds like a no brainer to me, but like I said, I prefer hacking alone.

I think it all depends on whether the social aspect of a yard is something you enjoy and whether you would miss it.

For me it's important as I live alone and enjoy chatting with everyone
