To plait or not to plait?!

I'm taking a coloured cob to a showing show this weekend to do a ridden coloured class. He's got his feathers clipped out but that's only due to mud fever and they are half grown back now anyway. Other than that he is "natural" with a reasonably long mane.

Should I plait him up or leave him as he is?

Leave him as he is otherwise you will have to clip the legs out again to go with the plaits if that makes sense.

What Stamp of Cob is he? How big and do you have any photos!

He's a middleweight 15.2 ex riding school cob!

Sorry I'm a techno-phob and can't work out photos!

didnt think cobs should be plaited anyway... either au natrel or hogged...

Ok having seen his photo!

I would either Trim up and Plait. (taking feathers off again) or Trim up and Hog him. and show him as a Show Cob (maxi is he is definatly over 15.1hh)

From the photo I would also add a nice thick flat noseband
