To plait or not to plait

Gyp has his first ridden competition at the end of the month.....


Walk and trot dressage test....

I've been told I don't need to plait but Gyp has a long mane so it would hide his neck and shoulder (not a bad thing in my book) but I guess it could mark me down?
Do you think I should plait?

Id plait and would do the gorgeous spanish/running plait thingy!

Oh yes it would have to be one of those running plait ones, he would end up with footballs if I did normal ones.

I don't no he alway frowns when plaited, I think he thinks he looks like a pansy. Added with the fact he will be tense, not bending and will probably p*ss off or buck me off!
