Firstly; my apologies - I'm more of a forum reader than thread starter, but here goes....
Should I count my blessings and make the most of what I've got? From reading other threads, I know there are many of you out there who would give at least a little toe to have your own transport to get to shows and clinics.
Now my quandry is, I have a big horsebox but only one horse and I feel a bit of a fraud turning up at events and unloading just the one. Now, my box is a very good runner and I've had a lot work done on it because, in the past, I have used it to carry more than one....... but that's another story.
I have advertised it through the winter and apart from the odd time-waster, nothing.
Anyway, I have a devil I know and trust, should I stick with it? Oh, and another consideration is that I do have a biggish vet bill that needs clearing up so was hoping to pay this and get a smaller box, and with paying monthly installments to the vet, I can't afford to compete/clinic much at the moment anyway..... and if I can't afford to compete/clinic can I justify keeping a big, expensive pet....?

Turning up with a half empty lorry isn't a crime so I wouldn't replace it just for that! If you are after making some £ by swapping from a larger lorry to a smaller one then you might find it a bit tricky as the smaller ones seem to hold their price better.
If you lorry works and you are happy with it then I'd stick with it - better the devil you know and all that!

You may find a smaller lorry is actually more expenssive to buy as there are more buyers for them. I'd stick with the lorry you have, especially since you know you have done work on it and it runs well for you. Nothing wrong with turning up with a large lorry and one horse in it.
